REPRONEX® is a mixture of human follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) activity, the most important hormones for inducing the growth of the follicles that produce ova (eggs). REPRONEX® is classified as a human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG) or "menotropin." Menotropins—injectable hormones that control the reproductive function—are one of the most widely used types of infertility medication.
REPRONEX® is usually administered by subcutaneous (SC) injection but can also be given by intramuscular injection (IM). SC administration is often easier to use, however, depending on your specific needs, your doctor may recommend either the SC or IM route of administration.
