Rox-San Pharmacy is dedicated to excellence in pharmaceutical care and unparalleled customer service and satisfaction.

We custom prepare medications using several unique delivery systems such as lozenges, suppositories, nasal spray, cream, lotion or transdermal gel to name a few. As prescribed by a physician, we can also change the strength of the medication, alter its form and add flavoring to it for humans and animals. We help veterinarians and animal care specialists to solve medical problems by providing specially compounded medicines, which meet unique needs of each animal.

Preparation of these specialized products requires chemicals and equipment that are not available in most pharmacies. Our pharmacist has received extensive additional training in compounding techniques and has a support network that generates a constant exchange of ideas and innovations.

Hootan Melamed, Pharm.D

Hootan Melamed was brought up with both his parents working in the healthcare field.  His mother became a pharmacist and his father a doctor.  With both parents in the medical field it was inevitable that both he and his brother would follow in their footsteps.  Hootan Melamed's passion for medicine was sparked at an early age and his career choice was destined to be pharmacist.  When he became older he went to work at his mother's pharmacy where compounding peeked his interest.   

He attended the University Of Southern Nevada College Of Pharmacy where he received his doctor of pharmacy degree.  During pharmacy school Hootan worked in a compounding pharmacy where he helped make a variety of creams, capsules, and liquid formulations.  Due to his early success in Pharmacy school and his vast knowledge of compounding, Dr. Melamed, was invited by his fellow Professors to teach a class in compounding. 

Dr. Melamed went on to create a number of original compounded products.  Of the many products two stand out, the first has just received a patent for hot flashes called "Roxsan Triple Hot Flash Relief" and the second is a nationally known rash cream called "Happy Tush".
